From The Editor

It’s true…I’ll admit it. I was a band geek. I also sang in show choir, all while acting out my teenage frustrations as a member of drama club. This was back before American Idol and Glee made any of that cool! It was at Sinclair Community College that I was redirected into Communication; and the rest, as they say, was history.

Thankful as I am that I found the right career path, I am also grateful for the experience that all of those years of performing, rehearsing and competing provided. There were valuable lessons that still empower me today.

In this issue of Sinclair360, you will get a glimpse into all of the incredible fine-, performing- and culinary-arts programs that Sinclair has to offer. Our Liberal Arts, Communication & Social Sciences division produces more graduates than any other college in the region, and we have the only culinary program of its kind in the Dayton area. Our alumni are working in theatres and museums, as graphic designers and photographers, and even as owners of a great restaurant right here in Dayton.

We take pride in providing our students the inspiration to reach for their dreams and the skills they need to perfect their crafts. We help connect them to local arts and culture groups, to network and learn from working professionals.

I hope you enjoy learning all about our music, arts, theatre and culinary programs. Look for information about next year’s performances online, at Sinclair360.com. As always, we encourage and appreciate your feedback.

Have a great summer, and break a leg!
