Sinclair's role in the Strategic Plan for Strengthening Community Relationships was recently featured in Dayton B2B.
Sinclair Workforce Development’s role in the recently published Strategic Plan for Strengthening Community Relationships is the subject of a story in a supplement to the December 2010 issue of Dayton B2B. The edition is on newsstands now.
During the last year, 17 members of a community task force, including Sinclair’s Vice President for Workforce Development Deb Norris, worked to develop a strategic plan for strengthening strategic and economic ties between the City of Dayton and the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Community members included the cities of Dayton and Riverside, WPAFB, University of Dayton Research Institute, Dayton Development Coalition, IDCAST, and various accounting, electronics and aerospace companies.
In September, the task force issued its report containing recommendations designed to capitalize on future opportunities. The report, Strategic Plan for Strengthening Relationships, contains recommendations in four key areas: strategic relationships, business development, community development and meeting spaces.
“These recommendations will strengthen ties that Sinclair Workforce Development already has in terms of the types of management and technical training we can provide to the base’s military and civilian employees. It also suggests additional opportunities for meeting and conference business that the Sinclair Conference Center already provides to the base and its partner civilian contractors,” said Norris.
